Overview
The objective of the Hamilton Township Youth Athletics softball program is to teach fundamentals and provide a fun experience for the girls in our community as well as prepare them for competition at the next level.
Divisions - Fall 2024
U8(Coach Pitch): Ages 6-8.
U10(Fast Pitch): Ages 9-10.
U12(Fast Pitch): Ages 11-12.
U14/High School (Fast Pitch): Ages 13-17.
Coaching Opportunities
We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by volunteering to coach a softball team. If interested contact us at [email protected].
Also there is a section in the online registration program to volunteer/coach.
When and Where are Practices?
Practices will start in the week of July 29th and will be scheduled by HTYA. The days of the week will be dependent on how many players register due to the limited field availability. All practices are held at the Hamilton Township Park. Prior to the start of games, teams will practice two times per week for at least 60 minutes, with longer practices for older teams.
When and Where are Games?
Games will be held at either Hamilton Township Park or an opponents field within central Ohio.
Equipment/Uniform Requirements
Players are required to provide the following:
- Softball Glove (not a baseball glove)
- Athletic Shoes or Multi-Purpose Shoes with Rubber/Plastic Molded Cleats
- Defensive Protective Face Mask (required)
The following items are optional, but highly recommended:
- A Sliding Pad
- A Pair of Sliding Shorts
- A Helmet with Face Guard (Must be ABS Shell with meets all NOCSAE standards)
Game Cancellations
Games are cancelled for lightning and/or unplayable fields. Games are not cancelled by coaches, it is a HTYA Board decision 30 minutes prior. Cancelling practices is up to each coach, but may be cancelled by the HTYA Board should there be lightning and/or unplayable fields.
How do I Register?
If you already have an account with us, please click on log-in in the upper right-hand corner. If you do not have a household account, please click on register. This will enable you to create a household account and you will then be able to receive emails from HTYA about upcoming registration and other important events. Payment is due at the time of registration.
