Overview
The objective of the Hamilton Township Youth Athletics softball program is to provide a wholesome and fun filled softball program for the young ladies of our community. The goal of this program is to to teach these young ladies the basic fundamentals of the game of softball and prepare them for competition at the next level.
Divisions - SPRING 2022
U8(Coach Pitch): January 1, 2013 – April 30, 2015
U10(Fast Pitch): January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2012
U12(Fast Pitch): January 1, 2009 – December 31, 2010
U14(Fast Pitch): January 1, 2007 – December 31, 2008
**Softball U12 & U14 Teams will be combined as U14 if we cannot get enough players to make a sufficient number of teams for each division.
Coaching Opportunities
We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by volunteering to coach a softball team. If interested please contact Jen Spaulding (see contact us page). Also there is a section in the online registration program to volunteer/coach.
When and Where
Practices are played on the diamonds at Hamilton Township Park. Games will be played at the HTYA fields, Obetz, Circleville, and Groveport. The days for practices and games are determined each season.
Equipment/Uniform Requirements
Players are required to provide the following:
- Softball Glove (not a baseball glove)
- Athletic Shoes or Multi-Purpose Shoes with Rubber/Plastic Molded Cleats
The following items are optional, but highly recommended:
- A Sliding Pad
- A Pair of Sliding Shorts
- A Helmet with Face Guard (Must be ABS Shell with meets all NOCSAE standards)
- Defensive Protective Face Mask (mandatory for pitchers)
Game Cancellations
Games are cancelled for rain, lightning, and/or flooded fields. Games are not cancelled by coaches, it is a HTYA Board decision 30 minutes prior to game time
