Recreational Baseball

The Hamilton Youth Athletics Recreational Baseball Program is designed to teach players the fundamentals of baseball while having fun. Baseball is a game that can last a lifetime providing years of fun and fitness. We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to get involved in our baseball program, if you are interested in coaching or volunteering please let us know.

Players are played in their respective divisions based on their birthdate. There will be four divisions with the number of teams in each division to be determined by registration:
T-Ball: April 30, 2013 - April 30, 2016 (we suggest that 6 year olds do not move up to Coach Pitch unless they have played at least 1 year of T-ball)
      Coach Pitch: April 30, 2011 - April 29, 2013
      Minors: April 30, 2009 - April 29 - 2011
      Majors: April 30, 2007 -April 29, 2009

Please note: All players must be potty-trained and no longer in diapers or pull-ups

Coaching Opportunities

We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by coaching a recreational baseball team.  We hope you will consider helping our HYA Recreational Baseball Program by coaching or volunteering. If interested please contact Kira Moore (see contact us page). Also there is a section in the online registration program to volunteer/coach.

When and Where are Practices?

Practices will start the week of April 11th and will be scheduled by HYA. The days of the week will be dependent on how many players register due to the limit field availability. All practices are held at the Hamilton Township Park. Prior to the start of games, teams will practice two times per week for 45-60 minutes, with longer practices for older teams.

When and Where are Games?

Game Cancellations

Games are cancelled for lightning and/or unplayable fields. Games are not cancelled by coaches, it is a HYA Board decision 30 minutes prior. Cancelling practices is up to each coach, but may be cancelled by the HYA Board should there be lightning and/or unplayable fields.
