Recreational Baseball

Overview

The Hamilton Township Youth Athletics Recreational Baseball Program is designed to teach players the fundamentals of baseball while having fun.

Divisions

Players are played in their respective divisions based on their birth date. There will be three divisions with the number of teams in each division to be determined by registration:

Ages 4.5-6: Tball

Ages 7-8: Coach Pitch

Ages 9-10: Kid Pitch Minors

Ages 10-12: Kid Pitch Majors

Ages 13-15: Kid Pitch Pony League

We suggest 6 year olds do not move up to coach pitch unless they have played at least 1 year of T-ball

Kids that participate on middle school baseball teams are not eligible to play on the 10-12 division.
These players may register for the Pony League Division.

Please note: All players must be potty-trained and no longer in diapers or pull-ups

Coaching Opportunities

We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by coaching a recreational baseball team.  We hope you will consider helping our HTYA Recreational Baseball Program by coaching or volunteering. If interested please contact baseball @htyakids.org (see our contact us page). Also there is a section in the online registration program to volunteer/coach.

When and Where are Practices?

Practices will start in the first week of May, and will be scheduled by HTYA. The days of the week will be dependent on how many players register due to the limited field availability. All practices are held at the Hamilton Township Park. Prior to the start of games, teams will practice two times per week for 45-60 minutes, with longer practices for older teams.

When and Where are Games?

Games will be played at Hamilton Township Park as well as opponent fields throughout central Ohio.

Game Cancellations

Games are cancelled for lightning and/or unplayable fields. Games are not cancelled by coaches, it is a HTYA Board decision 30 minutes prior. Cancelling practices is up to each coach, but may be cancelled by the HTYA Board should there be lightning and/or unplayable fields.

Registration Fees

$100

*Registrations after the deadline are subject to board approval and will include a $25 late fee.
